4 April 2009: On Saturday, 4 April 2009, the United States Ambassador to Rwanda, W. Stuart Symington, hosted Zachary D. Kaufman and Dr. Phil Clark for a launch of the book they co-edited, After Genocide: Transitional Justice, Post-Conflict Reconstruction, and Reconciliation in Rwanda and Beyond. The event was held from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the official Residence of the U.S. Ambassador to Rwanda in Kigali, Rwanda. Invited guests included senior staff members of the United States Embassy in Kigali, members of the Rotary Club of Kigali-Virunga, and other distinguished community members.
